Yesterday, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) published their results of a three-year-long investigation on tap water across the nation. As a result of the studies, the EWG has created a nationwide database that ranks each city's drinking water. They found 316 pollutants in America's tap water since 2004. EWG says that of those 316, more than half of them are unregulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and more than 130 of those 316 show up in amounts that exceed the guidelines set by health officials of the EPA.

This is NOT good.

EWG also ranked the top 10 cities with the best water and the top 10 with the worst water. The results are as follows:

Cities with the Best Water:

1. Arlington, TX
2. Providence, RI
3. Fort Worth, TX
4. Charleston, SC
5. Boston, MA
6. Honolulu, HI
7. Austin, TX
8. Fairfax County, VA
9. St. Louis, MO
10. Minneapolis, MN

Cities with the Worst Water:

1. Pensacola, FL
2. Riverside, CA
3. Las Vegas, NV
4. Riverside County, CA
5. Reno, NV
6. Houston, TX
7. Omaha, NE
8. North Las Vegas, NV
9. San Diego, CA
10. Jacksonville, FL

So is drinking bottled water the answer? Is it safer? Not necessarily. The results of a four year study by the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) reveals that 25-40% of all bottled water is just tap water. A study done by the EWC revealed that bottled water contained 38 pollutants including Tylenol, fertilizer residue, caffene, and chemicals that can even cause cancer!

So, what do you do? How do you know your water is safe? Your best bet is to drink filtered, electron-rich Alkaline water with a pH of 9.5 from an ionizer. If this is not a possibility for you, then steam distilled water is your next best bet. Steam distilled water is neutral. It has no nutritional properties at all. It has been stripped of all toxins through the distillation process, but it has als0 been stripped of all necessary minerals. You wlil have to re-add minerals to the water by adding a pinch of Real Salt or Celtic Sea Salt to the water. This will add minerals back into the water, and the salt increases the electrical potential of the water which means more energy for your body. You can also add a pinch of baking soda to the water to bring the water from a pH of 7 up to a pH of 9 - 10.

Don't just trust any water. Take care of your body by putting good things into it, and it will take care of you!
